Principal’s Welcome Back Message  Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, Welcome to a new year at Alex Hope Elementary! Once again I look forward to meeting our new families and welcoming back our current families! We had a terrific year last year with our PAC sponsored Spring Fling, Meet the Teacher/Welcome Back BBQ, Movie Nights, Terry Fox Run and all the various activities put on through the efforts of our parents and staff, and I look forward to continuing with these activities, and more, that so clearly show what a wonderful school community we have here at Alex Hope! We have great students, great parents and a great staff, and it’s always exciting to start off each school year so full of promise and optimism with our entire community working together for student success. I’ve always stated that parent involvement means increased student achievement academically and socially, and I go into this new year with that same statement. With our talented staff here at Alex Hope, working together with our great parents for our enthusiastic students, I know that our students are in for a phenomenal year that will be filled with outstanding achievement, fun and personal bests! With a dedicated staff, the support of our PAC and many parents and guardians, we have a vibrant, inclusive community at Alex Hope Elementary that helps all children to learn and grow. It takes a village to raise a child and we at the school take our role seriously as we provide an enriching learning environment for our students and a welcoming place for families to work with us in the education of your child. Your individual contributions as a member of the PAC, a volunteer, or an involved parent are vital to our students’ success. Together we can work to focus on the learning and increase student achievement in academics, language learning, athletics and the arts in a safe and caring environment.
